The Australian/Vogel’s Literary Award Winner Announced

The 2012 winner of Australia’s richest prize for an unpublished manuscript, The Australian/Vogel’s Literary Award  has just been announced. Paul D. Carter, a high school teacher fought off over 300 other manuscripts from the long list to secure this prestigious award for his first novel Eleven Seasons . The Australian/Vogel’s Literary Award helped launch the writing careers of Tim Winton, Kate Grenville, Gillian Mears and Andrew McGahan amongst others. Elelven Seasons is a coming of age story which explores the culture of Aussie Rules Football. Paul D. Carter is currently working on his follow-up novel.
