Year 12 Chemistry Students Evaluate Internet Resources


Year 12 Chemistry students took a tour of some of the most useful electronic resources available for their topic. They were also introduced to some very useful online tutorials for learning how to evaluate internet information resources. Year 11 Students Research War Propaganda


Year 11 students used a variety of resources to begin their Extended Study project in their War Unit of work. This language study required an analysis of war propaganda. Students chose two pieces of wartime propaganda reflecting different perspectives or different conflicts. Both visual and text based material was researched.

Year 10 P.E. Students Research Soft Tissue Injuries


Today, Year 10 P.E. students used the Senior Library to investigate soft tissue injuries, their treatment and rehabilitation.

Pupils were asked to consider the following:– Choose a soft tissue in the body

– Describe soft tissue and find graphics/pictures as evidence

– Choose a soft tissue injury and describe if it is a grade 1, 2 or 3 injury

– Describe the process of recovery (rehabilitation)

– Describe a modern issue relating to the soft tissue and soft tissue injury you have chosen

– How does a soft tissue injury affect the individual and their sporting community?

Today, Year 9 and 10 English students spent a lesson discovering new books and making suggestions for the Cabra College libraries.

Students used links from the Senior Library Blog to explore the wealth of reading sites available. Pupils then had a crash course on searching our brand new Access-It Library Catalogue to check if we already had the books; if not a comment was left for Mr Bull about which titles to purchase. If you have a suggestion for a  new title to be included in the collection just leave a comment.
