Katharine Susannah Prichard Short Fiction and Speculative Fiction Awards 2014

Are you a writer? Do you love writing? There are loads of writing competitions with great prizes (not to mention the fame, oh the fame!) open to enter each year in Australia and overseas. The Katharine Susannah Prichard Short Fiction Award 2014 and The Katharine Susannah Prichard Speculative Fiction Awards 2014. are now open to enter. There are two categories, an ‘Open’ category with a small entry fee and a ‘Youth’ category which is free to enter. Click on the links for competition rules and an entry form. Both categories have a maximum word length of 3000 words. Get writing!

So who was Katharine Susannah Prichard?  Katharine Susannah Prichard was the first Australian novelist to gain international recognition. In 1915, her novel, The Pioneers, won the Hodder and Stoughton All Empire Literature Prize for Australasia. Read more about her via the links below.
